Corporate Glam Makeup Look!

So for a while now I've wanted to do a work makeup look; something a little more glam than you might expect but still works in an office environment. This mightn't be something a lot of you would feel comfortable wearing to the office but if theres an important meeting, after office drinks - or you simply have some spare time in the morning - why not try this look?

You might in fact already recognise this makeup, I've uploaded this photo a couple of times on my social media accounts because I just love it so much. It's a look I created for the Shiseido Facebook page a few months ago. This is the one I'm talking about:

Basically about September last year, Shiseido released a BB cream and a number of new seasonal colours and had asked me to create a series of looks. This was easily my favourite look out of all the ones I created and I've been itching to put it in a video tutorial ever since. I didnt use ALL of the same products, as I didnt want this video to be too overly 'Shiseido-ey' (they didn't sponsor this video guys) however I loved how the products turned out in the original look so I kept 3 of the key products the same. Here is the post from the Shiseido Facebook page:

The eye makeup in todays video is essentially the same, just slightly less dramatic as I didn't use the 'Strata' colour to intensify the crease although I did in the above image. The look I made today is very basic with a natural contoured eye and a liquid liner for some subtle definition. The red lipstick I chose is just perfect; red is always a good office choice but the juicy texture and bright red colour of this lippy make it youthful and more daring than usual... you could totally swap this for a gloss or nude lip if this is too much for you.

I made the skin fairly natural and if you prefer, you could use a BB cream for an even more bare look if you feel too overdone with the foundation AND red lip. The product I used in the original look was the Shiseido BB cream as you can see in the official image above. The foundation I used in today's video however was Make Up Store Matt foundation so its a very different finish to the skin, I think I prefer the original look as it shows my freckles, but my skin isn't the best right now so I wanted more coverage.

I'm so happy I finally got around to recreating this look in a video tutorial, so i'd love it if you'd all take a look at the video below and let me know what you think!

The products from todays tutorial are:

- Make Up Store Matte Foundation in Olive
- Make Up Forever Aqua Brow in #15
- Make Up Store Eye Primer
- Shiseido 'Nude' Satin Eye Colour Trio
-NYX Felt Tip Liner
- Tarte Lights Camera Action Mascara
- MAC Pro Conceal & Correct Palette in Medium
- Shiseido 'Starfish' Luminizing Satin Face Colour
- NYX Orange Lipliner
- Shiseido 'Day lily' Perfect Rouge Lipstick
- YSL Terre Seharienne Bronzer

  9. Love your tutorials and think this is a great look. Your blog font is really small and hard to read on a 64 bit laptop though.

  10. So beautiful Chloe! I feel like your style has evolved both in how you film your videos and the type of makeup you apply and I absolutely love it! Being on the older side (26.. not that old, but you know, haha) I love the more sophisticated makeup looks. This one is gorgeous and simple. xoxox
